ReThink3R – List of supporters and workshops

We want to thank all the people that supported us in the development of our ReThink3R-workshops so far:

  • Initially we developed the concept together with Cecile Hilmer (now at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm), who was an incredibly creative team member
  • Our very first workshop in 2015 would not have been possible without the great support of the Berlin-Brandenburg School for Regenerative Therapies and especially Dr. Andrea Scheer, Dr. Julia Rummel (both coaching as well), and Dr. Sabine Bartosch.
  • Great support came also from Angela Daberkow for a workshop at the Dahlem Research School in 2016.
  • Thanks to Ilka Schlenther we organized a workshop at the Robert Koch Institute in 2017.
  • Prof. Schönfelder supported our idea and invited us to the Bf3R. Together with his team we organized different workshop formats in the spring school of the Berlin-Brandenburger Forschungsplattform BB3R in 2017.
  • Together with Frank Buttgereit and Andrea Volkamer we (Annemarie Lang) organized a seminar and interactive workshop on “In silico Methods – Computational Alternatives to Animal Testing” that was held in Berlin at the Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin in August 2017. A report was published in Altex DOI: 10.14573/altex.1712031
  • We were invited to the European Centre for the Validation of Alternative Methods (ECVAM) to the Joint meeting of the Preliminary Assessment of Regulatory Relevance network (PARERE) and the ECVAM Stakeholder Forum (ESTAF) for presenting our workshop concept and facilitating the breakout group on Education and Training. Thank you for this very constructive and fruitful event!
  • We thank Paulin Jirkof for her great support and the amazing organisation of two workshops so far in 2019 and 2020 at the University of Zürich – and her efforts to even implement some of the developed ideas of the workshops!
  • We are also grateful about the fruitful collaboration with the amazingly engaged Prof. Petra Skiebe, who help us to establish a workshop for high-school-goers in the frame of the summer university of the Freie Universität Berlin, face to face and virtual in 2019 and 2020. We also thank Prof. Thöne-Reineke for the joint work and her support of our idea.
  • Amazing support also comes from the team of Charité 3R – we deeply thank the team for having organized several workshops for the Charité doctoral students since 2019.
  • Great thanks to the team of Profund Innovation at Freie Universität, who supported us especially for our successful participation in the Research To Market Challenge.
